Tanzania (widespread except the west), Kenya (Southwest), Zambia (Isoka) and probably also in the north of Mozambique.

Taxonomic notes:

According to SPAWLS et al. (2004), there is no confirmed evidence from Uganda.

BROADLEY and HOWELL (1991) synonymized N. kilosae with N. boulengeri.
