  Ichnotropis ist auch heute noch eine Gattung, über die wir nur sehr wenig wissen. Mit der vorliegenden Arbeit wird versucht, dieses zu ändern, indem eine ausführliche Bibliografie der Gattung inklusive Bemerkungen zu den beschriebenen Taxa bereitgestellt wird. Notwendige zukünftige Untersuchungen werden angeregt.
